Color temperature refers to the appearance of light emitted by a light source, measured in Kelvin (K). It describes whether the light is warm 2700K – 3000K (yellow), neutral 3000-5000K (white) or cool >5000K (blue). There is no good or bad color temperature, it all depends on your needs, mood and personal preference.
We have many types of light strips: COB light strips, SMD light strips, SCOB light strips, etc., which can be divided into:
1. Single Color LED light strips (Single Color): composed of chips of only one color, such as warm white, cold white, red, blue, etc., can only emit a single fixed color light, with stable light effect, low cost, and easy installation. It is suitable for basic lighting, cabinet lights, local lighting, stair lights, etc.
2. Dual Color LED Light Strips (CCT Tunable or Dual White): composed of two LED chips, cold white (C) + warm white (W), with adjustable color temperature (usually from 2700K~6500K), adjust the white light atmosphere, adapt to morning and evening/situation changes, suitable for home main lighting, bedrooms, living rooms, office places, etc.
3. RGB LED Light strip: It is composed of three-color chips of red (R), green (G), and blue (B), which can mix a variety of colors and support color change and dynamic lighting effects. It does not support pure white light, and white is an approximate color of RGB mixing. It is suitable for atmosphere lighting, decorative lighting, parties, e-sports rooms, etc.
4.2. RGBW LED light strip: It is composed of four LED chips of red, green, blue + independent white light (C). RGB mixed color + independent white light has richer colors and can achieve purer and more natural white light.
